The International Symposium of
Ibsen and Modern China, co-sponsored by
Shanghai
Theater
Academy
and
School
of
Foreign Studies

Nanjing
University
, will be held in
Shanghai
and
Nanjing
during November 10-14, 2006. Around forty scholars from both home and
abroad (including
Norway
) will be invited to the symposium.
Three major topics have been
chosen for the symposium:
1. Ibsen and Modern
China
;
2. Ibsen and Idealism;
3. Ibsen and individualism.
You are entitled to choose other
relevant topics for your speeches. Please send your abstract to shhlmh@yahoo.com.cn and chengzhou@nju.edu.cn before
September 25, 2006.
Each participant of “Ibsen and
Modern China” International Symposium will be charged with a
conference fee of RMB 400（50 US dollars）. Meals and local trips are covered by the
organizers. Ibsen performances may be arranged both in
Shanghai
and
Nanjing
during the conference.
